The PSN Bicol Chapter is bound by the six provinces of the Bicol Region (Region V) namely: Masbate, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Albay, Camarines Sur, and Camarines Norte. The chapter is relatively young, just entering its fourth year of service. There are only 16 members, eight of which are fellows in Adult Nephrology, five are diplomates and three are board eligible. Nevertheless, the paucity in number does not prevent them from active service, with the chapter celebrating Kidney Month in June, World Kidney Day in March. The chapter is a staunch supporter of the mother institution and supports PSN in all its activities.
At present, the chapter delivers service in the region via 17 hospital-based kidney units and 13 free standing Hemodialysis Units. The chapter boasts of an Adult Nephrology Fellowship Program, with two fellows in training in the Bicol Region Training and Teaching Hospital. The chapter might describe itself as a work in progress, but it is continuously reaching out to all its members, enjoining them to actively contribute to its success.
