PSN Southern Tagalog Chapter’s vision is to be the leading organization in Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Mindoro, Palawan, and Quezon committed to promoting awareness, prevention, and treatment of kidney diseases based on the highest standards of care set by the PSN, in accordance with the culture of sustainable Green Nephrology.
The chapter serves as the voice of the PSN in the Southern Tagalog region, serving as a unifying factor in the battle against renal disease in an effort to lessen its impact on the community. We are committed to:
- Uphold the highest ethical standards in the practice of nephrology
- Enhance professional growth and development through continuing medical education and research
- Provide safe, quality, and holistic patient care with utmost compassion and respect
- Cultivate and nurture harmonious professional and personal working relationships among members
- Organize different venues for public information campaign in the various sectors of society
- Partner with various stakeholders in the prevention and management of kidney diseases
- Adopt, promote and uphold a culture of sustainable Green Nephrology among its members and other stakeholders
As of December 2019, the chapter has listed 81 members with an equal number of diplomates and fellows. 25% are practicing solely in Cavite, 22% in Batangas, 21% in Laguna, 13% in Laguna, Batangas, and Quezon, 6% Palawan, 3% Mindoro. Ten percent of the members have practices in areas outside of the chapter.
The chapter is capable of catering to the dialysis needs of patients in their locality. As of July 2019, there are 47 dialysis units in Laguna, 28 in Batangas, 4 in Palawan, 14 in Quezon, 30 in Cavite and 3 in Mindoro.
