The World Kidney Day is a global campaign raising awareness on the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and at reducing the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated complications worldwide. For this year’s World Kidney Day, following the theme “Living Well with Kidney Disease”, the objective is to increase education and awareness about effective symptom management and patient empowerment, with the ultimate goal of encouraging meaningful participation in everyday life. Patients with kidney disease – including those who depend on dialysis and transplantation – and their care-partners should also feel supported, especially during pandemics and other challenging periods, by the concerted efforts of kidney care communities.
For the World Kidney Day 2021 celebration, we, Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center and The Medical City, are assigned as hosts. In line with this, we are inviting all to create a food vlog that will aid our renal patients to commit to a healthier lifestyle with an appropriate diet.
RENAL FOOD BLOG
- Open to ALL training institutions, chapters, dialysis units, and individuals’ part of the kidney health care team including patients living with kidney disease.
- All entries must follow this year’s theme: Kidney Health for Everyone, Everywhere – Living Well with Kidney Disease.
- Submit a video of the preparation and presentation of recipes fit for patients living with kidney disease.
- Each entry must follow the format:
- Landscape format
- Good video and audio quality
- At least 300MB in mp4 file
- A time limit of 10 minutes
- All information presented in the video must be cited, giving credit to the original source.

- The deadline for entries will be on March 6, 2021.
- All official entries will be posted on the WKD 2021 Philippines Facebook page.
- Entries will be judged by a panel of judges with the following evaluation criteria:

- Photos to be submitted will be reflecting the 8 Golden Rules of Kidney Health to increase awareness that kidneys are a vital organ.
